The Heart
Since 2013, we have walked with students through a personalized educational pathway to develop their innate gifts and talents. Through academic sponsorship, one on one mentorship and student conferences we inspire and equip Twende students to return to their communities as leaders for transformation.

What is sponsorship?
When you sponsor a student, you receive personal updates and have the opportunity to encourage them on their journey. Your support covers tuition, provides one in-person mentorship visit per semester, and partial room and board for post-secondary students.
Beyond student sponsorships, donations to the Leadership Development Program strengthen our mentorship program by helping train mentors and increase mentorship visits. Additional support also helps cover leadership conferences for current students and graduates, held twice each year.
Looking ahead, we dream of opening our own vocational school that also operates a business enterprise — a place where students can receive practical skills training, leadership development, and hands-on experience in a Christ-centered environment, led by Twende graduates who are investing in the next generation.

Do I have to commit to a certain time frame for student sponsorship?
As we match you with a student, we will discuss the length of study for their course. While there is no binding agreement, we ask for a good faith commitment to journey with the student for their entire course of study. If you are unable to complete this commitment, we will seek another sponsor.
